ceramic pinion for micro motors and special gears - maxon ceramic®

Simplified production of complex shapes:
CIM/MIM Technology.

maxon ceramic® specialises in CIM (Ceramic Injection Moulding) and MIM (Metal Injection Moulding) Technology. These manufacturing processes enable to produce geometrically demanding components in one moulding step: rapid and precise.

An in-house R&D with state-of-the-art CAD technology and FEM (Finite Element Method) capabilities defines specifications to manufacture ceramic as well as metallic components for drive systems and other applications.

The advantages of CIM/MIM technology:

Almost unlimited possibilities for moulding

Complex components manufactured with conventional and laborious production methods often consist of several parts. Using CIM/MIM technology, geometrically sophisticated components are realized in a single moulding step. The dimensionally accurate production of  small-sized components and fine structures, such as undercuts, cross-drilling, gear-profiles and internal/external threads, is the unbeatable advantage of powder injection moulding:

Wide range of raw materials for various applications

Whether ceramic, stainless metallic or ferromagnetic materials and materials of high tensile strength, the range of material properties is broad and defined by your requirements.

maxon ceramic® offers diversified ceramic and metal powders  for processing in CIM/MIM technology. Components for various applications are produced at favourable costs.

Cost effectiveness through high volumes and efficient production processes

Cost-effective manufacture is achieved by high production volumes, minimal finishing work and best possible utilisation of raw materials.

Tight tolerances and excellent surface quality

CIM/MIM technology enables manufacturing of high-precision components with excellent reproducibility. The surface quality is decisive to avoid time-intensive finishing.

Reliable mechanical and magnetic properties

maxon ceramic® uses raw materials from experienced suppliers reputed for their sophisticated know-how. High density materials are produced with fine-grained powder and catalytic debinding. The high density level in connection with a homogeneous material structure lead to excellent mechanical and magnetic properties.
